Eggs are an excellent source of protein, vitamins and miners and are low in fat. Our research team has studied the effects of eggs on heart health of healthy adults, adults with high cholesterol levels and adults with heart disease and found that including eggs in our diets is not as harmful as previously thought. Diabetes is a risk factor for heart disease and we are now looking at the effects of including eggs in the diet of adults with type 2 diabetes.
