Griffin Hospital Hosts Breast Wellness Talk on Nov. 19

A free breast wellness talk set for 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 19 at St. Mary Church Hall, 338 North Main Street in Naugatuck, aims to educate the community about breast cancer.
Cary Carpino, R.N., of Griffin Hospital’s Parish Nursing Program will present “Be Empowered!” to bring awareness to the fact that Connecticut ranks second in the nation for the incidence of breast cancer and that Naugatuck and Shelton have breast cancer mortality rates higher than the state average.
