I recently stayed at your hospital on 2 North A. I just wanted to say that I had a great time and they did a great job. It was very pleasurable and the food was very good. I learned that my sleep apnea machine was malfunctioning by using yours and seeing how much better it works. I have been at Milford, St. Raphael's and Yale New Haven Hospital, and I don't think the stay was as good. I want to commend everyone on my floor for a great job.

Dear Mr. Charmel,

My 93-year-old mother was sent to Griffin Hospital from a skilled nursing facility. She was seen in the Emergency Department by Dr. Gregory Bell and the staff (namely Wes, Yangchen and Maggie). I cannot say enough good things about the way they treated my mom. Professional, respectful and very attentive, they were outstanding.

At one point, my mom needed a Rapid Response team. The team consisted of Dr. Muniraj, Dr. Kwon, Chaplain Cormac Levenson, nurse Sandy Stevens, Cindy Komar, MST's Regina, Patricia, Kevin and Rosie. She was then transferred to the ICU, where nurses Danielle & Linda cared for her. Once again, I cannot express enough the great care that was given to my mother.

Once she returned to a regular room, she saw respiratory therapist Michelle, who was also great. Her nurse Allycia was fantastic as well as nurse Sandy and MST's Kevin and Amanda. She was also treated by Dr. Nawaz and Dr. Silin, and everything went well.

I felt I should write you this letter to acknowledge your great staff at Griffin, as they are in my opinion the heart and soul of your hospital and organization. Thank you for the great care that was shown to my mother during her stay.

I am writing to let you know about the truly excellent care I have received over the years at Griffin Hospital. Griffin has been "my" hospital of choice for several decades now. The care my family and I receive is consistently excellent both in terms of quality and service. I could write quite a bit about all of the truly dedicated employees at Griffin that I have encountered over the years.

In particular, I would like to single out Michael Desjardins, Jake Meringola and Megan Pezzino in the Rehabilitation Services Department.

The care I received by these three people for my knee replacement rehabilitation this year has been absolutely extraordinary. They are truly excellent at what they do, and have the most pleasant demeanor.

Dear Mr. Charmel,

I am writing to let you know about the truly excellent care I have received over the years at Griffin Hospital. Griffin has been "my" hospital of choice for several decades now. The care my family and I receive is consistently excellent both in terms of quality and service. I could write quite a bit about all o the truly dedicate employees at Griffin that I have encountered over the years.

In particular, I would like to single out Carol Borger in your phlebotomy service, who has been absolutely extraordinary. I have always had a very difficult time having blood drawn, until I had the pleasure of meeting Carol. She is truly excellent at what she does, and has the most pleasant demeanor.

She is a true differentiating factor that will keep me coming back to Griffin Hospital for all my phlebotomy needs.

I wanted to write to you to let you know how absolutely pleased and thankful I was for the treatment I received when I had a pulmonary function test. The person who administered the test (Dan Oliva) was extremely professional in the testing. However, more importantly, he made sure I was educated on the entire process with grace, kindness and tremendous compassion.

I consider myself a reasonably healthy 60 year old, extremely active, but I have gone through some tough health issues recently. I was very fortunate to have had an appointment with Dr. K. Marya Chaisson, who said we need to get to the bottom of it all. She, like Dan, educated me in everything, organized everything and when I left I felt confident that someone actually cared and was interested.

I can't say enough about these two professionals and how, in the past 2 weeks, I have been given more information, guidance and reassurance than I have had in the past year and a half. As frustrating as it was, I am so very grateful and thankful to both Dan and Dr. Chaisson for their expertise and treatment. While I still have a respiratory issue, just understanding what is going on and how it is treatable has made a world of difference. An educator myself, I can't say enough about how important it is to have someone care for you completely. As Dan said, "We are not here to deal with why you are sick; we work on how to make you well." Great words to hear. It has been a wonderful experience, and may I say that it is nice to see people who work in both of their offices with great smiles! Both Dan and Dr. Chaisson are kind, very professional people, and I am thankful.
