Mature Advantage is a free membership program that offers programs that concentrate on issues of particular interest and importance to persons 55 and older. There are more than 10,000 members in this group. Monthly lectures are led by physicians and other health experts on a variety of health promotion and disease prevention topics. The Mature Advantage program also sponsors a driving refresher course.
Red Hot Mamas is a nationwide menopause education program that features physician and other guest lecturers who speak on issues related to menopause. The topics are designed to help women acquire medically accurate information about menopause. The program includes lectures, meetings and support groups in a relaxing, supportive setting.
Southford Medical Center and the Family Health Center in Shelton extend Griffin's reach well into the community. Both are full-service medical facilities equipped to meet most of patients' healthcare needs conveniently at one location.
