School Based Health Center

The School Based Health Center, licensed by the Department of Public Health, is located at Ansonia High School. The SBHC provides comprehensive physical and mental health services to the students of Ansonia High School. The SBHC is staffed by an APRN, an LCSW, and medical assistant providing a multidisciplinary approach to adolescent health care.

The team of health professionals provide services to prevent and reduce high risk behaviors; assess and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and provide health education.

For the school year which ended on 06/30/05, 553 students were enrolled in the SBHC.
