We Offer Our Nurses:

10 percent evening differential
- 15 percent night differential
- 10 percent weekend differential
- 10 percent charge nurse differential

- On-call differential
- Call-in pay at time-and-one-half
- Certification differential ($3/hour additional compensation)
- Level II nursing bonus - $1040 annually
- Level III nursing bonus - $2080 annually
- Generous hiring bonuses paid monthly for the first year of employment

Griffin Hospital is nationally recognized for adopting the innovative Planetree Model of patient-centered care. Planetree is an international not-for-profit organization with a vision of humanizing and demystifying the health care experience. Griffin houses the national offices of the Planetree Alliance, which has 90 member hospitals and a 25-year history of accomplishment. We have been privileged to share our success and model of care with almost 500 hospitals and healthcare organizations - nationally and internationally - that have visited Griffin since we implemented the Planetree Model in 1992. Our unique working environment enables us to attract exceptional nurses. Griffin enjoys high staffing levels and low turnover.
A Healing Environment
Griffin Hospital opened the first patient care building in the country designed to accommodate the Planetree care philosophy in 1994. Griffin's facility and care model have set a new standard for health care. The unique facility and innovative programs have earned Griffin local, national and international recognition.
Our Planetree programs for patients include 24-hour visitation, arts & entertainment, stress reduction, the Community Health Resource Center, access to medical records, self-medication, care conferences, therapeutic touch, pet visitation, volunteer baking, and home-like kitchen and lounge areas. We offer a wide array of complementary therapies including yoga, massage aromatherapy, meditation, Reiki and relaxation - available to patients and staff.
