Travel Medicine

Why take the chance of falling ill while trying to conduct crucial international business? Or, if you’re traveling for pleasure, why put all that planning and expense at risk with the chance you might catch some exotic bug? Appropriate, up-to-date vaccinations are particularly important to ensuring a healthy and safe stay overseas. Griffin Hospital’s Occupational Medicine Center is pleased to offer extensive travel medicine services for individuals that travel out of the country on business or for pleasure. The staff is available to answer your questions about timing and types of vaccinations you might need to keep you healthy for your trip, and can provide specific consultation regarding the health risks and concerns for your overseas destination. Services are provided by appointment from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday at the Griffin Occupational Medicine Center’s offices at 100 Commerce Drive in Shelton. Hours of Operation

Normal hours of operation for the Griffin Hospital Occupational Medicine Center are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. However, early morning and late evening appointment at the Center are available by special request. For acute injury management, off-hours coverage is provided by the Griffin Hospital Emergency Department.
