Outpatient Psychiatric Services
This child, adolescent and adult psychiatric outpatient service is located on the hospital campus. It offers complete clinical assessments and a full range of on-going treatments for individuals, couples and families. Psychological testing and brief consultations are also available. The staff includes masters level therapists, a psychologist and psychiatrist.
Chemical Dependency Partial Hospital Program & Intensive Outpatient Program(IOP)
This program offers short-term partial hospital assessment and individualized treatment planning for adult alcohol and/or chemical abusers during the evening hours. Dually-diagnosed patients are also accepted into this program.
Adult Partial Hospital Program & Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Each program provides a highly structured, intensive, milieu based assessment and treatment program as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or as a transition from a brief inpatient admission. Assessments and treatment plans are individualized to address the individual's acute symptoms and issues which have necessitated a more intensive level of treatment. Treatment involves a variety of group and individual modalities along with the use of psychotropic medications as indicated. A multidisciplinary team, the client and the family collaborate to develop and then achieve focused, relevant goals. This program is offered during the daytime hours, Monday through Friday.
Hospital Consultation and Liaison Service
A multidisciplinary team provides psychiatric consultation/liaison services to patients and staff on the medical/surgical floors of Griffin Hospital.
Nursing Home Consultation Service
This service provides psychiatric consultation and liaison services to patients and staff in area nursing homes. Services are provided by a multi-disciplinary team of psychiatric licensed social workers, clinical nurse specialists and psychiatrists in the nursing home facility in which the client resides.
Parenting Education Program
The PEP helps improve the adjustment of children to a restructured family life. The purpose of the seminars is to lessen the trauma of separation and divorce on children, and assist parents in improving communication skills.
