The Women Making a Difference in the Valley tribute is given in recognition of those women who have demonstrated significant achievement in their fields of endeavor, professional and/or volunteer or who have made contributions that positively affected their local and/or broad communities in the valley.  Individuals, organizations and businesses are invited to submit nominations for this prestigious tribute.  

Nominees should

  • have demonstrated significant achievement in their fields of endeavor, professional and/or volunteer

  • exemplify the multi-dimensional role women play in today’s society.

  • have made contributions that positively affect their local   and/or broad Valley community

  • live or work in the Valley  (Ansonia, Derby, Shelton, Beacon Falls, Oxford, Seymour) 

Honorees and their nominators are expected to attend the Women Making a Difference in the Valley Luncheon, on Thursday, October 2, 2008, as guests of the Valley Women’s Health Initiative.
