The Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Program at Griffin Hospital was established to address urinary and fecal incontinence, constipation and pain issues in both women and men.

The pelvic pain / pelvic floor tension program is for individuals with:
- Constipation
- Coccyxodynia
- Dyspareunia
- Levator ani syndrome
- Vaginismus
- Vulvodynia
- Vestibulitis
- Painful episotomy
Overview
A trained physical therapist will perform a comprehensive evaluation and develop and individualized treatment program for each patient and their diagnosis including:
- Home program
- Therapeutic exercise
- Training in bladder or bowel control
- Use of modalities such as biofeedback, functional electrode stimulation, thermotherapy or cryotherapy
- Manual therapy
- Assessment of pelvic assymetry
