The postpartum program is for individuals with:
- Pain
- Weakness
- Pelvic floor issues (incontinence, pain)
- Diastasis recti recovery
- Clogged milk ducts (or clogged lactation sinuses)
Overview
A trained physical therapist will perform a comprehensive evaluation and develop and individualized treatment program for each patient and their diagnosis including:
- Home program
- Therapeutic exercise
- Postural / positional training
- Maternal support fitting
- Relaxation
- Breathing techniques
- Manual therapy
- Use of modalities such as ultrasound, thermotherapy or cryotherapy
