The Department of Medical Education at Griffin Hospital attracts students worldwide to make one to four-year commitments to study at Griffin Hospital. Our combined Preventive and Internal Medicine Program is one of only seven in the United States and as a result we receive application from across the country for the three positions that open yearly.
School of Allied Health Careers
Griffin Hospital's School of Allied Health Careers is one of the first hospital-based schools of its kind to be authorized by the Connecticut Department of Higher Education. The School of Allied Health Careers offers phlebotomy and patient care technician training.
Yale-Griffin Prevention Research Center
The Yale-Griffin Prevention Research Center is grant-funded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Center's disease prevention and public health research has gained national attention. The PRC is directed by Dr. David L Katz.
