Advisory Board; available to discuss the ONQI ¥ Available to discuss the ONQI.
Scientific Advisory Board
The multidisciplinary ONQI Scientific Advisory
Board (SAB) will provide on-going oversight of
the algorithm and its applications following
the launch of the ONQI at consumer interfaces.
The SAB will have responsibility for
ensuring timely adjustments of the ONQI
over time as warranted by changes in nutrition
science, and/or the food supply, and will
be empowered to approve or disapprove the algorithm.
For the commercial effort related to the
ONQI to invoke the scientific advisory board, the
working version of the ONQI at any given time will need SAB
approval. Details of SAB procedures and authority are currently
in preparation by the Griffin Hospital legal team.
In addition to keeping the ONQI current, it is anticipated that
the SAB, working with consultants as warranted, will oversee
the development of ONQI variants tailored to specific
health conditions, and for applications such as scoring overall
diet quality.
The SAB will also help coordinate and oversee on-going scientific
testing of the ONQI and its influence. The first effort
in this area is a series of validation studies in collaboration
with the Harvard School of Public Health.
The SAB will participate in other activities if and as warranted,
subject to the group’s approval.
The SAB will be supported by Griffin Hospital and will function
independently from the commercialization of the ONQI
so that the board is insulated from decisions that might interfere
with judgment based only on the best available science.
It is anticipated that the SAB will report its
recommendations to the Chief Science Officer of the company
formed to manage the ONQI commercialization effort.
