When patients come for clinical evaluation, each will undergo a risk evaluation such as the
National Cancer Institute Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Tool and have a discussion regarding risk reduction strategies. Select patients will be candidates for genetic counseling, risk reduction through medicines such as
Tamoxifen or
Raloxifene. Select patients may also be candidates for advanced screening imaging modalities, which will be discussed by their surgeon.
