Hear Jillian read excerpts from her book about beginning her transition at the age of 55 and how she has been able to live authentically as her true self. There will be a Q&A and book signing following the readings.\nMonday, Sept. 21, 2026\n6 p.m.\nGriffin Hospital Community\nHealth Resource Center\n130 Division Street, Derby\nAbout the Author\nJillian Celentano is a transgender woman who began her transition in 2016 at the age of 55. She is a licensed social worker, advocate, board member on the Agency on Aging, and has organized support groups for transgender/gender diverse children and young adults. Jillian co-authored two published transgender studies at Yale University and wrote “Transitioning Later in Life: A Personal Guide.” She is a Medical Educator/Standardized Patient at Yale University and Quinnipiac University and has a private practice as a licensed therapist and educator for the transgender/gender expansive community.\nAll attendees will receive a free copy of Transitioning Later in Life\nSeating is limited and registration is required.
