DESCRIPTION:\nGriffin Health and the Agency on Aging of South Central Connecticut are partnering to increase access to care and prevent disease among our senior community through AgeWell, a monthly series of health screenings and healthy living education sessions at area senior centered. Periodically, this program will provide nutritionally balanced and delicious food for attendees to enjoy.\nDisaster Preparedness for Older Adults\nThursday, October 8 from 1:30-2:30 p.m.\nOxford Senior Center\n10 Old Church Rd., Oxford\nGriffin Health Director of Safety, Prehospital Care, & Emergency Preparedness Joseph Burnett will lead “Disaster Preparedness for Older Adults,” a free presentation on the importance of being prepared for emergencies that includes a self-assessment process to help identify an individual’s specific needs in order to create a personalized emergency plan. Griffin Health caregivers will also offer free blood pressure screenings and consultation.\nRegistration required at 203-881-5231.\n
