Make Meditation Work for You

It is no secret that practicing meditation can improve your well-being. Maybe sitting in a group of yogis isn’t for you, but that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the benefits of mindful meditation. Here are three ways to include this healthy practice into your daily life:

  1. Take advantage of technology - You can start with a search on YouTube for a quick meditation video that you can do in the privacy of your bedroom or wherever you’re able to find at least five minutes of peace and quiet.
  2. Just close your eyes - Meditation doesn’t have to be professionally guided. Sometimes, the most beneficial moments are the ones in which you stop what you’re doing and close your eyes and give yourself some time to be intentional, quiet, and peaceful. You can think about whatever you want to during these moments, or, don’t think at all – just breathe and be.
  3. Check out the AgeLess Emotional offerings - Take a break from your busy workday every first Monday of the month for the AgeLess Meditation Mondays. Held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Meditation & Learning Center, this program offers a way to transform your day in 15 minutes with relaxation experiences, including aroma therapy, meditation, Reiki and blessings.
