Growing up in the Valley, Shaun Najarian developed a desire to help others in his community. His passion took him out of the state and overseas as he pursued a career as a physician. Griffin Hospital will host an AARP Driver Safety Program from 8:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 7 at the hospital. The AARP Driver Safety Program is the nation's first and largest refresher course for drivers. While the course is geared toward drivers age 50 and older, the course is open to everyone.

Direct anterior hip replacement patients generally experience less pain along with a shorter length of stay in the hospital and faster recovery.

Safe Kids Greater Naugatuck Valley Coalition Coordinator Cathi Kellett, MA CPST-I, SN-I, will host “Child Passenger Safety 101” on Wed., Nov. 6 at Griffin Hospital, 130 Division St., Derby. There will be a session from 6-7 p.m. on general child passenger safety and a session focused on passengers with special needs from 7:30-8:30 p.m.
