Griffin Hospital features the latest technological advancement in PET imaging, PET/CT. This advanced modality allows for the physiologic assessment of the human body with an anatomical overlay.
PET/CT Imaging is an extremely sensitive and accurate diagnostic imaging modality that uses radiopharmaceuticals (drugs that include a radioactive component) to evaluate physiologic processes in the human body. PET/CT Imaging is especially useful for oncologic, neurologic, and cardiac evaluations. PET/CT scheduled outpatient examinations are available on Tuesdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Griffin has state-of-the-art PET equipment that has the capability of performing both PET and CT examinations simultaneously. This newest innovation allows for PET Imaging to more accurately pinpoint abnormalities in the human body, thereby allowing physicians to diagnostically evaluate conditions and diseases as never before.
