Bereavement Support Groups

Griffin Hospital offers support groups for anyone experiencing the loss of a loved one. The meetings provide grief education and support to ease the pain of loss as well as encourage healing and growth. Meetings are facilitated by a member of the Spiritual Care department.

Registration

Registration is required prior to attending. To register, contact Spiritual Care at 203-732-1126. Our caregivers will let you know the location of meetings, and whether it is possible to attend virtually.

Meetings

Group members usually attend one of the two weekly groups: Tuesdays from 4-5:30PM and Wednesdays from 6:30-8PM.

Meetings take place at Griffin Hospital, 130 Division Street, Derby or at The Center for Cancer Center at Griffin Hospital, 350 Seymour Avenue, Derby, and may be offered virtually if needed. At either location, please check in at the building’s Information Desk in the main lobby for meeting room information as it may change from week-to-week.
