GET THE FACTS ABOUT MEN’S HEALTH

Men in the Lower Naugatuck Valley die from prostate and colorectal cancer at higher rates than the Connecticut average. Most of these cancers are highly treatable when caught early — and the way you catch them early is a checkup, even when nothing feels wrong.

The Health Initiative for Men

Griffin Health launched the Health Initiative for Men (HiM) in 2011 to help men in the Valley get screened and stay ahead of prostate and colorectal cancer. Made possible by Frank and Judy Michaud through the Health Initiative for Men Fund at the Valley Community Foundation, HiM has put men’s health guidelines into the hands of tens of thousands of men across the region.
