Swallowing Therapy

Often, following a debilitating medical event such as a stroke, a person’s capacity to swallow is adversely affected. When this occurs, the Speech and Language Therapy department is often called to help with therapeutic intervention to restore normal swollowing function.

Speech therapists work as a part of the rehabilitation team.
