Mom to Mom is a facilitated support and social group for new and expectant mothers and their infants up to one year. Each meeting features a topic relevant to new motherhood and is followed by an hour-long play group.
The Fibromyalgia support group meets on the last Tuesday of each month from 2:00 - 3:30 P.M. in the Childbirth Center at Griffin Hospital. At these meetings, participants have the opportunity to share information, offer encouragement and learn coping techniques for people affected with this condition.
The Widow and Widower Support Group offers facilitated meetings to those learning to live with the loss of their partner or spouse. The group meets weekly on Tuesdays, and is led by a member of Griffin Hospital's Pastoral Care Department. HUGS (Help Unlimited Griffin Support) is a support group for cancer survivors and those with a current diagnosis, regardless of the type. Friends and family are always welcome.

The sleep apnea support group meets on the last Wednesday of each month from 7:00 - 8:00 PM in the Meditation and Learning Center at Griffin Hospital.
A certified CPR instructor will cover CPR and life-saving skills, as well as how to baby-proof your home, proper car seat installation and use, household safety, and poison prevention. This course provides you and your family with skills that can turn a life-threatening situation into a life-saving one.
Cost: $30 per person
The game of "Open" Bocce is played on a 91'x13' court with eight large bocce balls and one small target ball called the "pallino". The object of the game is to roll the bocce ball closest to the pallino.

The 2 Mile Walk was joined by a 5K Road Race for the first time in 2009, and it is now a regular part of the Corporate Cup and the Valley YMCA Sunset 5K Road race & 2 Mile Walk. The race will be held at the John G. Prendergast School in Ansonia and is a relatively flat course.

The Valley Heart Club is a heart disease support group that educates through it's monthly meetings. Meets the third Tuesday of every month (excluding July and August).
A facilitated support group for those with MS. Meets on the third Wednesday of each month. All are welcome.
