Managing Elevated Blood Sugar in Pre-Diabetes & Diabetes
Managing Elevated Blood Sugar in Pre-Diabetes & Diabetes is a 2-session workshop for anyone living with elevated blood sugar looking lower health risks with simple lifestyle and clinical tools.
Participants will receive education on how to lower blood sugar and improve their overall health. Discussion will include information on healthy eating, weight management, physical activity, glucose management technology, health related risks, and recipe & cooking tips. This program is based on the 2025 National Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes and The Association of Diabetes Care & Education Curriculum.
Carolyn Gundell, MS, CDCES, a Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist from Griffin Health, will lead the class.
The workshop will be held Thurs. Nov 13 from 1:30-3 p.m. and Thurs. Nov 20 from 1:30-3 p.m. at the Ansonia Senior Center, 65 Main St., Ansonia.
