Nutrition and Dietary Counseling at Griffin Hospital

Griffin Hospital’s Registered Dietitians provide one-on-one nutrition counseling sessions for a variety of medical conditions, including but not limited to: Diabetes; heart disease; celiac disease; food allergies; and pre-and post-bariatric surgery or individuals just simply looking to improve their health and eat better.

The initial appointment is an hour session and follow-ups are a half hour.  During the appointment, the dietitian reviews your diet habits and prescribes a personalized nutrition plan that will fit your preferences and lifestyle.

Talk with your physician about getting a referral for nutritional consultation and then call Griffin’s Central Scheduling Department at 203-732-7101 to make an appointment. Some medical conditions are covered by insurance plans, so check with your insurance company to confirm coverage details.
