Building the Plate
In recognition of Men’s Health Month, the Griffin Center for Healthy Living at Quarry Walk in Oxford is hosting a series of free cooking demonstrations to help men improve their health and lower their cancer risk through nutrition this June. these cooking classes will focus on nutrition strategies that support men’s health, with an emphasis on prostate cancer prevention, heart health, inflammation reduction, and healthy aging. Participants will learn new cooking techniques, including long-simmered sauces, slow-cooked legumes, smart grilling with marinades, and oven-roasting, to expand their everyday cooking skills while focusing on the foods most linked to men’s wellness.
