Your Cancer Treatment

Just as patients are unique and cancers vary, so each treatment may be different. In determining whether surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy or any of these in combination will be your most effective course of treatment, your physician considers your general health and medical history, as well as the type, size and location of your cancer.

The Center for Cancer Care at Griffin Hospital offers a multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatment, including radiation therapy, in an outpatient setting requiring no overnight stay.

In addition to your primary treatment approach, your doctor may recommend additional therapies or services to support your treatments or to help you cope with side effects. These may include nutritional consultation, patient support groups, massage, naturopathy or homeopathic prescriptions, yoga or relaxation therapy, to name a few.

A Dedicated Care Team

By concentrating this world-class technology with the talent of highly skilled professionals, the Griffin Health Hospital can quickly assemble the resources required to provide optimal care that is tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

A Rapid Diagnostic Care Model

The Griffin Health Hospital offers a broad array of diagnostic services for patients that can be provided, in many cases, on the same day. If a suspicious finding on a test is detected, patients have ready access to additional diagnostic testing, which is coordinated by the Center’s staff.

A Planetree Model of Care

Within the Center, soothing colors, comfortable furnishings, and other amenities — such as a coffee bar and water feature — create intimate spaces for patients and family members. Complementing this healing environment, the Center’s staff is committed to educating and empowering patients to be active participants in their own care journey.
